Abstract:

Wound healing is a dynamic and complex process that involves inflammation, proliferation, and tissue remodeling. Natural plant extracts have been explored for their potential in accelerating wound repair due to their phytochemical richness. This study evaluates the wound healing efficacy of hydroalcoholic extract of Plumeria acuminata in Wistar albino rats using incision and excision wound models. Results indicated significant wound contraction, reduced epithelialization period, and enhanced tensile strength in extract-treated groups compared to the control. Histopathological analysis confirmed increased fibroblast activity, collagen deposition, and epithelial regeneration. The findings support the potential of P. acuminata as a promising natural wound healing agent.
